I grew up in sunny Southern California during a great time-the seventie's and eightie's. It was a time of discovery- the beaches, mountains and deserts all fascinated me.
The clear waters off the coast are filled with wildlife, including sea lions, fish and birds. A moderate temperature entices many to brave the depths and find the wonder beneath the waters.
Though looking forbidding, the desert is also filled with animals and reptiles such as rattle snakes, lizards, birds and insects such as scoprpions and tarantulas.
Crisp and clear air await the traveller who visits the western mounatins. Beautiful scenery and fair weather most of the year bring thousands annually to this paradise.
