I grew up in Southern California from 1967 to 1976. It was a time in a magical place with many opportunities for a young boy to indulge his sense of adventure. Though the first several years of my life were in Pittsburgh, Pa., I was immediately immersed in the lifestyle and culture of the West. After high school, I joined the Navy and saw many awesome places. When I was discharged, I returned to Southern California. I stayed there until about 1989 and then travelled the country for the next five years. Click the link below to see for yourself the wonder that is California.
CaliforniaA stint in The United States Navy as a gunner's mate took me to different lands and cultures. I visited Hawaii, Guam and the Philipine islands. After seeing the poverty in Subic Bay, this taught me to appreciate all that America has to offer it's citizens.
The NavyAbout a year and a half ago, I had been single for a couple years and was looking for my soulmate. One night in a chat room I met a girl who was from Missouri. We got along great and though I was thousands of miles away, we seemed to connect on a deep level. We exchanged phone numbers and ran up some phone bills talking long into the night. After several months, we decided to meet, it was taking a big chance because I quit my job, packed up my belongings and drove across the country. I met Christine in Branson, Mo. and the moment we saw each other for the first time we knew it was right. We met late in life but it's better than not at all....we have so much ahead of us now. We are very much in love and we plan to get married as soon as we can!
Chris and IIn 1994, a beautiful little girl came into my life. I named her Jessica Rahne Mathe. The name Rahne means princess in Arabic. She changed my life forever and I will never forget her. Her Mom and I broke up and I did't find out until after she was born that my ex cheated on me. Since that was the case, I didn't have any legal recourse even though I was the man she called Daddy. I haven't seen my precious angel since December of 2000. Her name now is Jessica Rahne Samida.
JessicaOn May 29, 2002 the most devastating thing happened to me...I lost my Mom. She died suddenly and I miss her so very, very much. She was the most wonderful Mom any boy could hope for, understanding, loving, and kind. I kissed my Mom goodbye for the last time on June 4, 2002 at 10:33 a.m.

I have been collecting comic books and related items such as trading cards, statues, collectible card games, original artwork and items from movies that feature comic characters such as X-Men and Spiderman.
My Favorite Characters
I have also been collecting autographs in the last year. I have about 50 now from people as varied as Lennox Lewis to Dick Cheney. I have posted a few on my autograph page.

I have been learning 3D animation using several high end programs that have been used for many feature films, animation, games, T.V. and many other applications. On my 3D page I have assembled a number of links for these programs as well as some basic inormation of the program capabilities and some links to sites that offer tutorials. There are also links to graphic imaging programs that you can edit and design images and then import them with many 3D programs.
3D Programs
I started college in October of 2001 at Springfield College in Springfield, Missouri. I decided on the CIS program as the degree to achieve. The reason for this decision is I bought a computer several years ago and since that time have been fascinated with every aspect of computers. Mostly self taught until I started school, I have excelled in a class room atmosphere, having been on the President's List every quarter so far and maintaing a 4.0 average. I have also been instrumental in reviving the local chapter of AITP and also have formed a 3D Animation Club. I was nominated as chairman of the 3D club and as such I have been responsible for contacting guest speakers, input for club fund raising activities, teaching fellow students 2D and 3D programs and techniques two to four times per month. I am a member of AITP since June 2002. I have aslo volunteered to tutor in the CIS department.
